The Sanborn MapModule is the center of the Geospatial Portal. It is used to add mapping capbilities into the portal. The site administrator to can create and configure as many MapModules as they need. It is simply hooked up to ArcIMS by specifying a server name and a map service.

The toolbars are created by choosing tools from a list of tools registered on the portal. The MapModule has a robuts customization framework which allows custom tools to be created by either Sanborn, or other .NET developers.
